Janson Pollock 40″ x 30″
Tongue in cheek, and giddy with the joy of the creation, the name JANson Pollock was attached to this delightfully fun abstract impressionism piece. Textures created with a variety of products including beach sand add to the acrylics, oils and latex layers of color.
No surprise, created in October of 2012, inspired with the fall and Halloween decorations filling the stores and neighboring homes, the colors just seemed to “fit”! The heat of Florida felt like summer, so painting with the canvas on the grass in the yard was the perfect direction for the movement of grays and blacks over the subtle tan base. After three days of adding textures and colors, even the Florida sun could not dry the paint fast enough! Day four saw the first of the orange emerge and splash to make the piece feel complete!
